Talcum powder is a cosmetic product made from finely ground talc, an extremely soft mineral. One of the most common uses of talcum powder is in baby care, with some parents using it to reduce rashes and irritation from diapers. Talcum powder can also be used on adults to prevent chafing and rashes, and some people have come up for creative uses for this product, like sweeping talcum powder into the cracks of wooden floors to prevent them from squeaking

 

Talc is Hydrated Magnesium Silicate, it is a versatile material, also know as steatite or soapstone with the chemical formulation of Mg3 Si4 O10 (OH)2. We have excellent quality talc of 300 mesh to 5 micron particle size, with whiteness varying from 85% to 99%. Due to its softness, chemical inertness and adsorption properties it is widely used as anti-sticking, anti-caking lubricant and as thickener in Rubber, Paint, Plastic, Paper and Cosmetic Industries as a filler / extender.
